Khmelnytskyi National University - SolidWorks Center

Our University has received a grant from the Corporation SolidWorks - licensed software SolidWorks 2005/2006, network license for 30 jobs. Licensed software is installed in two classes of information and computer center of the university.

The program to promote higher education, corporation Dassault Systemes SolidWorks Corp (USA) has provided our university grant - a network license (30 jobs) for the use of computer modeling of SolidWorks. License includes the right to install SolidWorks software characteristics of the complex at any number of computers may also work less than 30.

Employees of the University - Ph.D., Assoc. Department of Manufacturing Engineering J. Savitsky and Ph.D., Assoc. Department of Mechanical Engineering, VO Harzhevskyy received training at the training center representative for SolidWorks Corp. - Of SolidWorks Russia (Moscow) and got licensed software to be installed on computers of the university.

Composition of software SolidWorks, given that our University   

Software package SolidWorks Education Edition, which is used in our university consists of the following modules:

• SolidWorks 2005/2006 - a powerful computer-aided design and preparation for manufacture of products of any complexity and purpose. SolidWorks makes it possible to "create" virtual 3D models of parts, machines and mechanisms, not putting much effort and focus directly on the design process.
• Module COSMOSWorks 2005/2006 - engineering analysis by finite element method. Allows up to date to carry out the calculation of structures for strength, stability, calculation of fatigue, vibration, thermal calculations and so on. Allows you to replace the classical methods of strength of materials and calculations of machine parts with modern computer technology.
• Module SolidWorks COSMOSMotion 2005/2006 - complex kinematic and dynamic analysis of engineering systems. There is a modern alternative to classic methods of the theory of mechanisms and machines.
• Module SolidWorks COSMOSFloWorks 2005/2006 - a modern tool for solving problems of hydraulic modeling of flows of liquids and gases, complex calculation of thermal, hydro and gas-dynamic thermal models of technical devices.

Training set includes the following modules: Toolbox - library of standard elements in accordance with GOST; FeatureWorks - recognition of imported geometry; 3D Instant Website - creating interactive 3D-models for publishing on the Internet; eDrawings Professional - review and approval documents; PhotoView - preparation photorealistic images 3D-models taking into account texture and lighting, and other. DWGeditor - program for creating and editing 2D-drawings in format DWG (format that is used by AutoCAD). In its functionality is not inferior to program AutoCAD and can be used as its complete replacement.
